Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church
Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church, where every single person matters, period. We invite people from all walks of life and hope they feel welcomed. We trust that when we worship together, serve together, pray together, eat together, and do life together that God is present. That changes everything!
YOU’RE INVITED TO SUNDAY WORSHIP
9:30 am Praise and Worship
This service offers a more relaxed atmosphere. The McKendree Praise Team leads a wide range of worship songs that help usher you into the presence of God.
11 am Traditional Worship
This service features music from the choir, piano, bell choirs, orchestra, and a wide variety of ensembles and soloists. Sing hymns and embrace liturgy that inspires reverence towards God.
THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU
You don’t need to be a member of the church to be part of cookouts, small groups, Wednesday meals or any other events. Consider this your official invitation and check out some of the ways you can grow and serve with McKendree UMC.
This Holy Week, help us create a powerful, interactive experience for our congregation and community through the Stations of the Cross Prayer Walk, held April 15-18. This year’s journey will reflect the passion story as told in the Gospel of Luke, inviting participants to encounter Jesus’ final hours through art, scripture, devotions, and interactive elements.
We need You to bring this prayer walk to life! You are invited to share your creativity in one or more ways. Learn more here.

On February 22nd McKendree UMC is participating in Rise Against Hunger, the meal packaging event everyone loves! This is a fun and easy mission project that all ages can enjoy.
The first step of this exciting event is to raise money to purchase the meals. Each package is around $0.40 per meal. The amount we raise will determine how many meals we can provide.
Encourage others to give and show that you have donated and are sponsoring meals* - head over to the Narthex to the Rise Against Hunger Station to fill out a card. It will be added to our display. All contributions are appreciated! *You can donate here or use the QR code at the table.
The second step of this exciting event is to volunteer and join in packaging meals on February 22nd. Please let us know that you will be here.
In our commitment to community service and support, McKendree UMC is excited to partner with Wellroot Family Services (formerly United Methodist Children's Home) for a special event. On February 27th, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., we will host a Parent Support Group for the Healthy Families North Georgia program. This initiative offers invaluable parenting support to families with young children, and we have the opportunity to provide a welcoming environment for these families to gather. Learn more about WELLROOT Here.
We invite you to be a part of this meaningful event by volunteering your time and talents. We need help with setting up, preparing and serving food, and providing childcare. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to contribute to making this gathering a success, please reach out to the church office. Your involvement will make a significant difference in the lives of the families we are serving. Childcare will be provided.
