  • McKendree United Methodist Church 1570 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road Lawrenceville, GA, 30043 United States (map)

McKendree UMC offers several times of worship on Christmas Eve in the hopes that EVERYONE knows they are welcome and that there is a place for them.

  • 11:00 a.m. Family Christmas Celebration with Communion (in person and online) Children’s Christmas Eve Service

  • 8:00 p.m. Lessons and Carols (in person and online)

  • 11:00 p.m. Candlelight & Communion

All are welcome to celebrate this wondrous time!

What should I wear on Christmas Eve?
Come as you are! Sunday best, business casual, or just left the kitchen and still in an apron. Lots of people will be wearing festive Christmas sweaters and shirts. (Save your Christmas pajamas for the New Year's Eve worship.)

Are kids allowed in the service?
For sure!!! Bring the entire family. Kids especially enjoy the 11 am service, when they get to dress up like characters in the nativity story.

Will there be candlelighting?
Both evening services (8 pm and 11 pm) will have candle lighting when we pass the flame from one person to the next. At the morning service (11 am), we will use glowstick crosses. If you are watching from home on the McKendree YouTube channel, have your candle ready.

What about Holy Communion?
We will serve Holy Communion at 11 am and 11 pm worship services. Everyone is invited to participate, whether or not they are part of McKendree or any other church. Jesus makes room for everyone!
