Men of McKendree Gathering meets at 6:00 p.m. every third Thursday in the Fellowship Hall. Join the Men of McKendree for Fun, Food, and Faith!

Details:

• When: 1/23/2025, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• Where: Fellowship Hall

• Food: Chili dinner

• Activities : Hear an overview of the UMC Disaster Response program and watch an episode of The Chosen on our new TV in the fellowship hall.

• Faith: Share a brief devotional. Let Bobby or Terry know. That applies to this month and beyond.

You are invited to take part in a Progressive Dinner on November 9, where we’ll gather as a community to hear McKendree folks share stories of faith, growth, and the choices that shaped them. The dinner will take place in several rooms at the church, with sessions starting at 4:00 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:15 p.m., each lasting an hour. Nursery care will be provided for children under 5, and we encourage families with children to join us for the earlier sessions. After dinner, we’ll enjoy a campfire and s’mores up the hill—a perfect opportunity to reflect on our journeys and what it means to say, “It’s my turn” to step forward in faith.

If you prefer to help with the event, there are volunteer opportunities.

It is that time again, Trunk or Treat in the McKendree UMC parking lot! Trunk or Treat will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on October 26, 2024. You can start setting up at 3:00 p.m. This ministry event expects to serve around 1000 people. Please sign up to decorate your trunk and pass out candy. What is GriefShare?  At GriefShare you’ll receive valuable guidance and tips, leading you to relief, comfort, and peace of mind. During GriefShare you’ll be part of a support group to help you move through the grief process.

GriefShare Support Group meets in the Library on Monday nights for 13 weeks beginning August 12th, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Solve the mystery of “A Not So Terrible Parable!” Bring your friends, family, teachers and neighbors to come see our McKendree kids shine in their annual spring musical. This dynamic musical about the Good Samaritan will be performed in the Sanctuary after Wednesday Night Supper at 6:00 p.m. Come and celebrate all their hard work with them afterwards in the Fellowship Hall for an Ice Cream Social. You won't want to miss what the new generation of the church is up to.
